How buying works on ZARXE

    Open the marketplace and compare sell adverts by price, order limits and payment method. You can look before you sign up.

    Enter the rand amount you want to spend. Placing the order locks the merchant's USDT in escrow — they cannot move it while your order is open.

  3. 3

    The merchant's banking details appear in the trade room. Pay from your own bank account within the payment window the merchant set, then mark the order as paid.

  4. 4

    When the merchant confirms the rand reflected, escrow releases the USDT into your ZARXE wallet. Withdraw on TRC20 or BEP20 whenever you like.

Escrow and merchant verification

Escrow protects the USDT, not the rand

The moment you place an order, the seller's USDT moves out of their available balance into escrow. They cannot cancel, withdraw or re-list it. If you pay and they refuse to release, you open a dispute and the desk decides. Read the full escrow flow.

Verified merchants carry a green tick

A green verified tick means the trader completed ZARXE's merchant verification review. Unverified traders can still post adverts, so check the tick, the completed trade count and the rating on each advert before you commit. About the merchant programme.

Payment methods, fees and order limits

South African payment methods

Bank transfer, Instant EFT, PayShap and Capitec Pay. Each merchant chooses which of these they accept and lists them on their advert — filter by the method you want before opening a trade.

Fees

A flat 1% platform fee on each side of a completed trade. Deposits are free; withdrawals cost the blockchain network fee only. Full fee breakdown.

Order limits and verification

Minimum and maximum order sizes are set per advert by the merchant. Identity verification is only required once your lifetime traded volume passes R1 000 000. Compliance and KYC.

Staying safe as a buyer

  • Always pay from a bank account in your own name to the exact details shown in the trade room. Third-party payments are the most common cause of disputes.
  • Never move the conversation off ZARXE. Chat, proof of payment and the release step all need to happen in the trade room so the dispute desk can see them.
  • Only mark an order as paid once the money has actually left your account, and upload your proof of payment straight away.
  • Watch the payment window. If it expires before you pay, the order cancels and the USDT returns to the seller. More on trust and security.
